Super D-branes
We present a manifestly Lorentz invariant, spacetime supersymmetric, and 'κ-invariant' worldvolume action for all type II Dirichlet p-branes, p ≤ 9, in a general type II supergravity background, including massive backgrounds in the IIA case. The p = 0, 2 cases are rederived from D=11. The p = 9 case provides a supersymmetrization of the D=10 Born-Infeld action.
متن کاملSuper-d-branes Revisited
A version of the κ-symmetric super D-p-brane action is presented in which the tension is a dynamical variable, equal to the flux of a p-form worldvolume gauge field. The Lagrangian is shown to be invariant under all (super)isometries of the background for appropriate transformations of the worldvolume gauge fields, which determine the central charges in the symmetry algebra. We also present the...

متن کاملMolecular mapping of poly(methyl methacrylate) super-helix stereocomplexes.
In this study, by using X-ray powder diffraction profiles as blueprints, we successfully mapped the most probable molecular-level structural arrangement of the PMMA super-helix stereocomplexes through molecular dynamic simulations. Molecular-level resolution of the PMMA triple-helix supramolecule was not previously achievable by experimental methods. After constructing molecular models of stere...
متن کاملAlteration of the Positively Charged D-helix in Human Antithrombin Alteration of the Positively Charged D- Helix in Human Antithrombin
The serpins antithrombin (AT) and protein C inhibitor (PCI) inhibit thrombin in a reaction that is accelerated by heparin (1000-fold and 40-fold respectively). The heparin binding domains of PCI and AT differ. In AT, the D-helix is a major part of the heparin-binding domain, while the H-helix is the heparin-binding domain in PCI. Compared to antithrombin, PCI is a more potent inhibitor of throm...
